This is the website hosting the Neighborhood Auditing Tool (NAT), a software tool created as one of the projects of the Structural Analysis of Biomedical Ontologies Center (SABOC) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

We provide two different links to the NAT.  One will run the NAT on your computer as an application, the other will allow you to use the NAT as an applet in your Java-enabled web browser.  Both require that you have version 1.6 of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed and working on your computer.  You can download the JRE version 1.6 from Sun Microsystems as part of the Java SE or Java SDK packages found HERE.

IMPORTANT!  If you have ever used the NAT before you may have an older version of the client installed on your computer.  To ensure that you have the latest version of the NAT please follow these instructions for uninstalling the NAT.

NOTE: We have been getting feedback that indicates that the NAT runs much slower on Windows Vista than on Windows XP.  We are looking into possible reasons and hope to have a solution soon.  We would like to hear from users of other operating systems as well.
